We improve through proper instruction, repetition and not being affraid to fail or make mistakes.
While coaching College and High School baseball at all levels I have been running youth camps for the past 20 years and was also an elemetary physical education teacher for four years. Over those decades I have learned a multitude of games and activies that:
- Are fun for young players to play.
- Can be adapted to where each player is at developmentally.
- Will allow for opportunities for success in a game of failure.
- Players will be working on skills and game startegy and not even know it.
- Teach young players how to handle failures that are inevitable in the game.
- Most importantly players will get repetitions that they will not typically get with their teams at practices or in games in their leagues.
Kids love playing games and they love competing with themselves and others.
